  • Urgent hospitalization is managed by the doctor on duty in the emergency department.

Hospitalization method

The documents required for admission are:

  • Identification document or tax code
  • Health insurance card
  • Any clinical documentation already in possession (x-rays, analytical tests, tracings, vaccination card, etc.)

The hospitalization certificate is issued, at the request of the interested party or a family member, by the administrative acceptance office, located on the ground floor, open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

During closing hours, you can go to the internal concierge entrance.

Guarantees for the patient

Hospitalizations are scheduled according to the criteria defined in the special procedures. Priority is given to urgent cases. The patient may request the Department of Health to verify the reservation record. All the necessary information will be provided at the time of booking the hospitalization. At the time of admission, you will be given the Polyclinic Guide and the Hospitality Card. The patient and a family member indicated by him must be able to have at least one interview with the referring physician (indicated on the reception card) at the start of treatment and one before discharge. These interviews will be carried out respecting the right to privacy, possibly on private premises. Each patient must be informed of the treatment plan indicated by health professionals, to share the indications.

Informed consent

The patient, awaiting surgery or another invasive procedure, must be adequately informed to sign the informed written consent.

Decisions regarding the care of minors are made with the consent of the parents and, if possible, with the participation of the patient.

There is the possibility of taking your own blood and storing it in the transfusion center of the hospital to be used, if necessary, during surgery. This procedure, called autotransfusion, can prevent and reduce infections or immune reactions. To find out more, it is advisable to talk to the doctor who is following you, a surgeon or anesthetist.

Scientific investigation

Clinical research activity at the hospital is carried out in accordance with international conventions on the matter. The patient who chooses to undergo tests or treatments included in a medical research protocol will be informed in detail and will be given the necessary time to decide. The patient must give their consent in writing. There is no obligation to participate in medical research; it is a completely voluntary choice that can be interrupted at any time. Medical research that has not been approved by the provincial ethics committee may not be proposed to the patient.
